4级飓风海伦26日晚间以时速140英里（225公里）的风速，在佛罗里达州大弯地区（Big Bend）登陆，并从当地迅速穿越乔治亚州。
乔治亚州州长坎普（Brian Kemp）今天说，从空中俯瞰满目疮痍的房屋和公路，“看起来就像被炸弹炸过一样”。
