Youth4AM, a 501c(3) nonprofit Youth leadership development program, is hiring an Administrative Director. Welcome stay-home moms and newly grads to apply. Join Us to become an integral part of fostering leadership and positive change in the Chinese American community.
About New York Residents Alliance (NYRA) & Youth4AM
Established in 2018, New York Residents Alliance (NYRA) is a federally registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to championing equal opportunities for Chinese Americans in education and safety. At NYRA, we firmly believe that leadership has the power to shape the destiny of an entire ethnic group and have thus launched Youth4AM, a Youth leadership development program, to instill the values of leadership, integrity, and community service in the youth we serve. This effort aims to influence a brighter future for Chinese Americans.
Youth4AM serves a couple of hundreds of top students from the best public high schools in NYC like Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, Hunter, Townsend Harris etc who later entered elite colleges such as Harvard University, Columbia University, New York University, Carnegie Mellon University, Boston University, University of Michigan, etc. The program has qualified for federal’s Presidential Voluteer Service Award,New York City’s SYEP and Ladders for Leaders, etc and has recognized by tens of elected officials representing New York City and New York State including NYC Mayor Eric Adams, Congresswoman Grace Meng, and State Senator John Liu, etc.
Yet, New York Residents Alliance (NYRA) has not received any government funding up to August 2023. NYRA has minimized its expenses to save enough for hiring minimal staff. Most of its day-to-day operations are run with significant help from volunteers Angela H. and William S., who have devoted more than 800 hours/year and 300 hours/year since 2018. The organization also utilizes NON-PAID office space and equipment, such as computers and printers, from its founder Angela H. to save expenses. Additional support and help are provided by passionate volunteers, including Yan Y., Vito K, Xuhui N., Wen C., Mindy J., Jessie Z., Evelyn Z., Champy W., Belinda T., Les L., Ying Y, Lily L., etc. With diligent saving and resourcefulness, we now have the opportunity to hire an Administrative Director to further drive our mission.
