This highly competitive and prestigious program aims to bring together 50 outstanding young leaders—primarily high school students, one from each state or major city—who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential and a strong Chinese American identity. Participants will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn from and engage with Members of Congress, elected Chinese American officials, nationally recognized communications and PR experts, and inspiring award-winning young leaders.

Because of the program’s competitive nature, we encourage qualifying Chinese American students to apply as soon as possible. The application deadline is May 1.

Once applications are submitted, they will be reviewed by UCA’s community partner organizations in each applicant’s city or state. In areas without a UCA community partner, UCA staff will handle the selection process. Applicants will be notified of their results by May 31.

UCA Leadership Institute will gradually launch other training programs in the future, including an annual leadership training program for college students, political training programs for elections and campaigns, as well as leadership training programs for the Chinese American community organizations, among others.
